Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program, which is equipping girls with important life skills they need to become self-advocates, find power in their voices and chart path that they choose for themselves. This allows us to employ and train local mentors, known as social mobilizers, who come from similar communities as the girls in the program. They facilitate program activities and serve as powerful role models for the girls and their families.
